My birthday's in a couple of weeks, but I got an early present - my first bald spot. (Thinning spot, anyway.) I was getting my hair cut and as the stylist showed me the back they rather artfully chose an angle that showed off a very thin spot of hair near the top of my head. During the cut they'd gently recommended some possible future styling choices - leaving it long on top, coming back from the front, that kind of thing. I didn't understand why they were recommending that 'til they showed me.

Tipped extra for the honesty. Ain't their fault I'm getting older. (Hell, I'm just happy to be older, all things considered.)

I've always been happy with my hair. Knowing it's gonna go some day feels like losing part of me. I'm trying to be a good sport about it. I like my hair, but I really don't want to grow up to be the hair piece/comb-over guy still trying to hang at the club with the 20-somethings. Maybe I can lean into it, Kojak style. Maybe I should try rockin' the Friar Tuck. We'll see. It's got a long way to go before I have to make a call.

My sweetie didn't tell me this was happening - she kisses the top of my head a lot, so was certainly aware. Asked her about it; she said I'm beautiful, and she loves me, and she'd never have brought it up first. Total sweetheart.

 

My hair is Tuning silver on my face but goodness of desire can ride me with a man hating rage she'd love to see my silver haired face and smack me when I'm so inside and done lol yes your beautiful

 

You should be happy that it started so late @NCMilkman , mine started thinning when I was half your age and only kept getting worse. I am shaving mine since 4 years, think it's the best solution. Not bald though, hair still grows, but looks terrible with that bald circle on my head.
I still think you look great though.

Anyway to stay on topic: pretty good. A bit tired from bad sleep and the heat isn't really helping but I'm fine. Another day closer to the weekend

 

Figured I would do my part and traded in the gas weed eater for a rechargeable electric one. What a waste of money that was. I now have the best looking bent weeds on the block.

 

Tomorrow is the last day at the current job. Kinda going to miss some of the customers - but Friday will be bad ass!
