2 Marines Lose Appeals in Okinawa Rape

TOKYO — A Japanese appeals court today rejected the appeals of two U.S. Marines on their convictions in the rape of a 12-year-old girl in Okinawa.
Marine Pfc. Rodrico Harp, 22, was sentenced in March to seven years, and Marine Pfc. Kendrick Ledet, 21, to 6 1/2 years in the Sept. 4, 1995, abduction and rape.
Navy Seaman Marcus Gill, 23, who was sentenced to seven years, has not appealed.
