Canadian woman killed in motor vehicle crash in Trelawny
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Up to late Tuesday morning, the husband of 60-year-old Kelly Stewart, a Canadian woman who died as a result of injuries she sustained in Sunday’s motor vehicle crash on the North Coast Highway in Trelawny, remained in hospital.
Stewart, who was from Dean Crescent in Ontario, Canada, was travelling with her husband and two other passengers in a Toyota Rav 4 when they collided with a truck near Bogue Gate, Trelawny around 10:00 pm.
Stewart, along with her husband and the two other occupants, were taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead and the others were admitted for treatment.
The condition of the husband has reportedly improved. However, the conditions of the other two passengers are not immediately known.
The Falmouth police are investigating.
