The upcoming AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT will have two variants, just like the RTX 4060 Ti/5060 Ti, featuring 8 GB and 16 GB models.
AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Specs Leaked: 8 GB and 16 GB Variants, GDDR6 Memory at 20 Gbps
A few days ago, we reported about the upcoming RDNA 4 GPU, namely the Radeon RX 9060 XT, which was rumored to come in two flavors. The leak showed that the GPU will feature either 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM capacity or 16 GB, similar to what has been reported about the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti.
The EEC website revealed the memory configurations on Acer RX 9060 XT GPUs and today, Videocardz received more information, confirming that the GPU is indeed receiving two variants. Both the variants will utilize a 128-bit memory bus and their memories will run at 20 Gbps. This will result in equal memory bandwidth, but the 16 GB edition will have a big advantage in modern VRAM-hungry titles.
Moreover, the RX 9060 XT is said to feature a single 8-pin power connector, which is why the report says it requires a 500W capacity power supply. This means the TDP of the RX 9060 is up to 225W or lower, which may or may not be higher than the 190W of the TDP of the RX 7600 XT. The custom variants will also feature an 8-pin power connector, but of course, some of them will come factory-overclocked, increasing the power consumption, particularly when overclocked.

The RX 9060 XT is supposedly going to utilize the Navi 44 GPU die and will take on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. The latter will also come with two VRAM variants but will feature faster GDDR7 memory. As far as connectivity goes, the leaked specs reveal that the RX 9060 XT features 1x HDMI 2.1, and 2x DP 2.1 ports.
Coming to the VRAM configurations, it is a surprise considering AMD released the RX 7600 XT, especially catering to the demands of modern gaming. The RX 7600 was limited to 8 GB VRAM and so would the RX 9060. However, AMD might be making a big mistake here, as 8 GB throttles performance to a great extent and if the GPU is priced over $300, it wouldn't make any sense when the RX 7600 XT was launched at $329.
More detailed specs are yet to be unveiled, and then we will likely have the RX 9050 GPU later, which was recently spotted on a Mexican retailer.
